General Manager Position

After spending over a decade in cafes as a Barista, owning cafes and working in Wholesale roast and ground coffee, I began to see the domestic user becoming more and more discerning.
I started Coffeeguy 6 years ago, with the intention of having a little retail outlet to provide information and help to people wanting to buy coffee and coffee equipment directly for the domestic market.

Since then Coffeeguy has helped so many choose the right coffee equipment to suit their needs. Not only to achieve a great brew at home, but also to ensure that the equipment choice also works with the personality type that uses it.

With roasting onsite for all to see, sourcing high quality green beans consistently, packing and maintaining the freshness of our product is paramount, and as a result has developed a strong loyal following.

Coffeeguy is looking for a dynamic person to run daily operations.

This is in essence a General Managers position.

Applicants should have a coffee background and desire to pursue a career in the industry. Some of the applicant’s attributes should be:

• Coffee Roasting
• Barista Skills
• Coffee Training
• Sales Skills
• Staff Management
• Production Management
• Budget Analysis
• Sales Targets
• Recruitment
• Internet / Web orchestration
• Sales Promotions
• Technical understanding of espresso equipment
• Brewing methods other than espresso
• Purchasing and inventory management o Hospitality certification / Food Safety

The list is a small amount of the daily tasks that are normal operations. It is paramount that the applicant understands these tasks and can perform them immediately without the necessity to start from scratch.

A strong Management and Organisational personality is required.
